Lake City jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after first half goals by Katlin McDonald, Siara Kremer and Melissa Bagan, and held on to beat Sandpoint 3-2 in Inland Empire League action Tuesday in Sandpoint. Lake City’s Erica Johnson had an assist. Brittany Oakley and Brittany Clawson added goals for Sandpoint (3-2-1, 1-2-1). Lake City (2-0, 2-0-2) remains undefeated in league play. … In other Inland Empire League action, Courtney Walker had two goals to lead Coeur d’Alene to a 6-0 victory over Post Falls in Coeur d’Alene. Jessica Smalley and Courtney Walker both had assists. Coeur d’Alene got goals from five different players and the Vikings out-shot the Trojans 25-1 in the blowout. …Lewiston’s non-league game against Clarkston was postponed because not enough Bantams players had completed enough practices to participate in the game. No make-up date has been scheduled.

Volleyball

Caitlin Crimp had 30 assists and six aces to help lead Lake City to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-19 win over Post Falls in Inland Empire League play at Post Falls. Tabi Mabrey chipped in nine kills and Caylen Meredith had four blocks as Lake City (1-1, 1-1) won their first league game of the season. Beth Samuel contributed two aces and 13 assits for Post Falls. Lisa Steinbach also had seven kills and two blocks for the Trojans. Post Falls (1-3, 0-2) remains winless in league play. … In other Inland Empire League action, Kama Griffits had seven aces and 20 digs as Coeur d’Alene defeated Lakeland 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 25-11 in Coeur d’Alene. Katie Rosner added seven kills and Natalie Stewart had 11 assists for Coeur d’Alene. Marissa Duncan led Lakeland (0-4, 0-1) with 13 kills and nine digs and Stephanie Huett and Alyana Watson each had four aces. Chelsey Curran led the Hawks with 25 assists. … Lewiston (8-0, 3-0) remained undefeated after beating Moscow 25-27, 27-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-5 in other Inland Empire League action in Moscow. Maddie Dolny led Moscow (3-4, 0-2) with 14 kills.

Boys soccer

Derek Davidson had a goal and an assist to help lead Coeur d’Alene to a 4-0 victory over Post Falls (1-1-1, 0-1-1) in Inland Empire League action in Post Falls. Nat Breitenberg, Blake Inlow and Nick Johnson all had goals for Coeur d’Alene (3-0-3, 2-0) as the Vikings out-shot the Trojans 17-5. Jalon Eborall, Matt Jordan and Justan Honsaker chipped in with an assist apiece for Coeur d’Alene … Evan Palo scored off of a throw-in by Brett Lawson in the 51st minute to lead Lake City to a 2-1 win over Sandpoint in Inland Empire League play in Coeur d’Alene. Daniel Anderson scored in the first minute of play to give Sandpoint (1-4-2, 1-3) an early 1-0 lead, but Lake City’s Tim Schreiber quickly erased the deficit with a goal three minutes later before Palo’s kick sealed the win for the Timberwolves (5-0, 2-0). Jake Williamson and Brett Lawson both had assists for Lake City.
