Boys soccer

Coeur d’Alene got goals from Jordan Correia, Robby Astin and Matt Jordan as the Vikings remained undefeated and atop the Inland Empire League boys soccer standings with a 3-0 win Saturday over host Moscow (6-4-2, 3-4-1). Derek Davidson had two assists for CdA (9-0-3, 7-0).

Also in the league, Tanner French and Adam Crossingham scored goals for Sandpoint (3-8-2, 2-5) as the Bulldogs beat Lewiston (3-5-1, 3-4-1) 2-1 in Lewiston. Sandpoint outshot Lewiston 14-5. Crossingham’s goal in the 15th minute was the last goal for either team. Jeremiah Robinson recorded 12 saves for the Bengals.

Ryan Lame scored two second-half goals to lead Orofino (2-3, 2-1) to a 6-0 win over St. Maries (2-9, 0-3) in Intermountain League action at St. Maries. Gary Hardin, Max Anderson and Dan Harris also had goals for the Maniacs. Orofino dominated play, outshooting St. Maries 18-3. The Maniacs are in second place in the league standings behind Bonners Ferry.

Girls soccer

Lewiston’s Amber Gillespie scored in the 80th minute to give the Bengals a 3-2 lead, but Sandpoint’s Brittany Oakley answered with a goal in extra time as the two Inland Empire League teams tied 3-3 in Sandpoint. Gillespie finished with two goals on the day for Lewiston (3-6-2, 2-5-1) and Becca Stone led Sandpoint (5-5-3, 3-3-2) with a goal and two assists. … Also in the league, Haley Smith had a goal and an assist to lead Coeur d’Alene (8-4-1, 6-2) to a 3-0 win over Moscow (5-6-1, 3-4-1) in Coeur d’Alene. Carmen Reyes and Sadie Simon also had goals for the Vikings, who outshot the Bears 23-3. Sarah Quinn had 15 saves for Moscow. Megan O’Rourke and Lizzy Brown-Dymkoski had assists for Coeur d’Alene.

Lindzie Bicknell scored her first career goal on a one-timer off a corner kick in the 34th minute and St. Maries (4-4-3, 3-0-1) beat Orofino (3-4-2, 3-2-2) 2-1 in Intermountain League action in St. Maries. Amanda Ratcliffe had the Lumberjacks’ other goal and Samantha Renaldo had two assists. Jenni Jasper had Orofino’s lone goal in the 70th minute.

Volleyball

Maddie Dolny led Moscow (2-4) with 10 kills and 12 digs as the Bears topped Lakeland (0-6) 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 in Inland Empire League action in Moscow. Cydney Cyr added 11 digs for Moscow. Marissa Duncan led the Hawks with eight kills and 16 digs. Lakeland remains winless in IEL play.

Cross country

The North Central girls finished third while the Mt. Spokane boys placed fourth at the Mountain West Classic in Missoula. Timberlake’s Frank Lagrimanta finished second among boys with a time of 15 minutes, 9.26 seconds in the 3-mile race.
