Orioles 6, Yankees 4: At New York, Paul Bako put Baltimore ahead with his first home run since 2004, a three-run drive that led the Orioles to a victory over the Yankees. Erik Bedard gave up a two-run homer to Alex Rodriguez in a three-run first and then rebounded to retire his next 11 batters and 20 of 22 for Baltimore.
Blue Jays 6, Devil Rays 3: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Reed Johnson hit a three-run homer to lead Toronto past Tampa Bay. Roy Halladay gave up three runs, seven hits, three walks and had seven strikeouts over seven innings for the Blue Jays.
Twins 3, White Sox 1: At Chicago, Johan Santana allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings, and Minnesota beat the White Sox. Justin Morneau hit a three-run homer off rookie John Danks in the fourth inning for Minnesota.
Tigers 3, Royals 2: At Kansas City, Mo., Ivan Rodriguez hit a three-run homer in the ninth and Detroit rallied to beat the Royals. Rodriguez hit the first pitch from closer David Riske out to left after Magglio Ordonez led off the inning with a double and Carlos Guillen walked.
Athletics 2, Angels 1: At Anaheim, Calif., Oakland got RBI doubles from Shannon Stewart and Nick Swisher in a victory over Los Angeles. Kelvim Escobar was charged with two runs and eight hits over six innings for Los Angeles.
Red Sox 3, Rangers 2: At Arlington, Texas, David Ortiz snapped out of a 2-for-18 slump with his first two home runs of the season to help Boston beat Texas. Curt Schilling allowed only one run and four hits over seven innings with six strikeouts and a walk.
