Kootenai County sheriff

Cheryl Barnhill, Coeur d’Alene, reported Thursday the $400 theft of a purse containing an MP3 player from her home on the 2500 block of E. Cherry Hill Road.

Donna Hess, Post Falls, reported Friday the $1,571 theft of a purse containing a gold, sapphire and diamond ring, prescription medication, cash and other items from a 1996 Mercury parked on the 600 block of W. Hayden Avenue in Hayden.
