Cardinals 8, Brewers 0: At Milwaukee, Adam Wainwright gave up two hits in seven scoreless innings and Yadier Molina hit two home runs as St. Louis completed a three-game sweep of the Brewers.

Cubs 12, Reds 4: At Chicago, Mark DeRosa went 5 for 5 and drove in four runs and the Cubs scored seven times in the seventh to win for just the fifth time in the last 15 games.

Pirates 10, Mets 7: At Pittsburgh, former Gonzaga and North Idaho standout Jason Bay had three run-scoring singles and Adam LaRoche hit a two-run home run to lead the Pirates to a win over New York.

Diamondbacks 5, Marlins 4: At Miami, Livan Hernandez pitched seven innings, and Arizona won another series by beating Florida. The Diamondbacks have won nine of their past 10 series.

Phillies 4, Nationals 2: At Washington, Cole Hamels pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings for his 14th victory and Philadelphia beat the Nationals.

Giants 9, Braves 3: At Atlanta, Bengie Molina hit a three-run home run in the first, leading San Francisco to a win over the Braves. Giants slugger Barry Bonds did not play.

Dodgers 6, Astros 2: At Los Angeles, Derek Lowe pitched seven shutout innings to earn his first victory in almost two months and the Dodgers beat Houston.

Padres 11, Rockies 9: At San Diego, the Padres scored nine runs in the bottom of the fifth and held on to beat Colorado. Mike Cameron hit a three-run home run and Pete LaForest added a two-run blast in the fifth.
