People: Now that’s what you call bad news

From Wire Reports The Spokesman-Review

Paula Zahn says her sexless marriage to Richard Cohen drove her into the arms of another man – one of his close pals.

But friends of the cuckolded Cohen tell a different story: that the TV newswoman betrayed him when she “strayed” with ContiGroup CEO Paul Fribourg.

“Richard felt like he’d been stabbed in the heart twice when he found out his wife had been cheating with one of his best friends,” a Cohen associate told the New York Daily News.

“They played golf and tennis together. Their families skied together in Aspen.”

Zahn and Cohen announced in April that they were separating after 20 years of marriage.

Though they separated in April, neither Cohen, 59, a multimillionaire developer, nor Zahn, 51, has formally filed for divorce.

Zahn has moved out of the Fifth Avenue co-op she and Cohen shared with their three children: daughter Haley, 17, and sons Jared, 13, and Austin, 10.

Last week, she filed suit in Manhattan Supreme Court alleging Cohen mismanaged the $25 million she invested with him.

A friend of the former CNN anchor says the fire went out of the 20-year marriage long before Cohen learned of the affair last August, when he found his wife’s “lurid” sex diaries, illustrated with photos.

Zahn’s side said the handwritten diary was more about love than lust.

“You know how it is when you’re first in love,” a friend said. “She was euphoric. She was like a 16-year-old schoolgirl.”

Angelina of mercy

Angelina Jolie visited Iraq on Tuesday to meet with refugees and U.S. troops in the country.

Jolie, who is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, met with displaced Iraqis in neighboring Syria before crossing into Iraq for a few hours “to see firsthand the plight of hundreds of thousands of families uprooted by the ongoing conflict.”

From ‘Bam’ to the slammer?

Reality TV buffoon Vincent “Don Vito” Margera, arrested last August for allegedly fondling three girls aged 12 to 14, faces 12 felony counts of violating his bail conditions.

Margera, 50, the uncle of MTV “Viva La Bam” star Bam Margera, could be sentenced to up to 18 months in jail on the bail violations, and faces as much as six years behind bars on the sexual assault charges.

The story certainly won’t die

Official logs confirm that police were called to actor Owen Wilson‘s home on Sunday because of an attempted suicide report.

Wilson, 38, was taken by ambulance from his home to a Santa Monica, Calif., hospital and later transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was reported in good condition Monday.

No updated information was released Tuesday.

Go to rehab? Yes, yes, yes

British singer Amy Winehouse‘s father-in law says fans should stop buying her records to force her and his son to seek help for drug addiction.

Last week, newspaper pictures showed Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil bloody and bruised, apparently after a fight in a London hotel.

Winehouse, 23, canceled a series of British concerts and postponed a U.S. tour after being hospitalized for exhaustion earlier this month and spending a short stint in a rehab facility.

Her latest album, “Back to Black,” topped the British charts and produced the hit single “Rehab” (“They tried to make me go to rehab/I said no, no, no”).
