Whits to play at 4

The Northwest Conference men’s basketball tournament title game at Whitworth on Saturday will begin at 4 p.m., the school announced Monday.

The Pirates, regular-season NWC co-champions who won a tiebreaker to get a first-round bye in the playoffs, will take on the winner of Wednesday’s semifinal between Puget Sound and Lewis & Clark.

Ticket prices were also set Monday. Reserved seats will be $8, adult general admission $6 and seniors/children $3. Whitworth and visiting school students with valid student ID will be admitted free. Reserved seats that have been returned will be available beginning Thursday and can be purchased by calling 777-3224.

Whitworth Fieldhouse doors will open at 3 p.m. for general admission seating.
