PF Library offering computer classes for adults

A new series of adult computer classes will be offered at the Post Falls Library for people with little or no previous computer experience. Cost per class is $5 per person.

“”Basic Computing,” next Saturday from 8:30 to 10 a.m., will introduce computer components and the Windows operating system. Basic typing skills and familiarity with using a mouse are helpful.

“”Basic Word,” Jan. 27 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., will introduce the Microsoft Word application. Participants must have some basic computer knowledge.

“”Basic Internet,” Feb. 3 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., will introduce search engines and Internet searching strategies.

“”Basic E-mail,” Feb 10 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., will build on the Internet session and help participants establish and use Web-based e-mail accounts.

Taught by Wid Stewart, a Post Falls resident with many years of computer experience, will feature some lecture and lots of hands-on practice in the library’s computer lab.

Class size is limited to 18 people, pre-registration is required, and the $5 fee is payable prior to the class. Call Rebecca at 773-1506 for more information. The library is at 821 N. Spokane St.
