The University of Idaho recently announced the names of Eastern Washington residents who graduated in December. Graduates are listed by their hometown. All degrees are bachelor’s degrees unless otherwise indicated.

Army Pvt. Nicholas March, a 2005 graduate of University High School, is the son of Skip and Kathy March of Spokane.
Army Pvt. Christopher McFarland, the son of Butch and Debbie McFarland of Spokane, is a 2006 graduate of University High School.
Army Pvt. Shawn Poirier, the son and stepson of Jennifer and William VanDyke of Newport, Wash., is a 2006 graduate of Newport High School.
• Army Pvt. Terence Brooks recently graduated from basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. Brooks, the son of Jhon and Kathleen Garcia of Warden, Wash., is a 2006 graduate of Warden High School.
• Army Pvt. Marcus Baker recently graduated from basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. Baker, a 2006 graduate of University High School, is the son of Janielle Hedt of Spokane.
Idaho
• Ami Higbee of Athol was recently awarded an $860 Florence Whipple Scholarship by the Idaho Nurses Association. Higbee is a registered nursing student at North Idaho College.
