Alyssa Garro scored 10 of her team-high 12 points in the second half as Pullman beat visiting Clarkston 49-37 Tuesday to remain atop the Great Northern League girl’s standings.
Jessica Thomas added nine points, six rebounds and five assists for the Greyhounds (12-0, 6-0), who outscored the Bantams (8-4, 5-1) 32-21 in the second half.
Elsewhere in the GNL, Chelsea Hardenbrook scored 17 points and Elizabeth Walker added 12 as Medical Lake (4-8, 1-5) topped host Deer Park (3-9, 2-4) 61-50. Megan Roberts tallied 12 points to lead the Stags. … Maddie Brown scored a team-high 10 points and hit a key 3-pointer late in the game to give Cheney (8-4, 4-2) a 39-35 win over host Riverside (5-6, 2-4). The Cougars came out strong in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 25-16. Kristine Faunce tossed in 13 points for the Nighthawks, who converted on 10 of their 11 free-throw attempts while the Tigercats were just 3 of 10 from the charity stripe. Alyssa Koller tallied 19 points for LaCrosse-Washtucna.
