Padres 6, Dodgers 5: At San Diego, Russell Branyan drew a bases-loaded walk with one out in the ninth to complete a five-run rally as San Diego stunned Los Angeles to complete a three-game sweep.

Phillies 6, Mets 3 (10): At New York, Chase Utley delivered the go-ahead hit in extra innings for the second time in three days after Pat Burrell tied it in the ninth with a solo homer, and Philadelphia beat New York in 10 innings.

Giants 5, Diamondbacks 4 (11): At Phoenix, Pedro Feliz and Omar Vizquel homered in San Francisco’s 11-inning win over Arizona.

Rockies 7, Astros 6: At Denver, Troy Tulowitzki singled home the winning run, a 1-2 pitch under the glove of shortstop Adam Everett, to cap a three-run rally in the ninth that led Colorado over Houston.

Pirates 3, Nationals 2: At Washington, Jason Bay homered off Chad Cordero in the ninth inning, and Pittsburgh won for the third time in nine games.

Cubs 2, Braves 1: At Atlanta, Rich Hill matched his career high with 11 strikeouts, giving up three hits in eight innings to lead Chicago over Atlanta.

Reds 5, Cardinals 1: At St. Louis, Kyle Lohse came within two outs of his second shutout in three starts and Cincinnati got home runs from Ken Griffey Jr., Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Dunn in a victory over St. Louis.
