WNBA : Jackson leads Storm to win over Lynx

Lauren Jackson had 30 points and nine rebounds to help the Seattle Storm snap a three-game losing streak with a 90-76 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday night in Seattle.

In an anticipated showdown between the WNBA’s top two scorers, Jackson scored 11 points in a pivotal second quarter and had no trouble outscoring Seimone Augustus, who finished with a season-low 13 points for the Lynx.

For the game, Jackson made 12 of 15 shots from the field, including three 3-pointers.

Sky 70, Silver Stars 60: At San Antonio, Candice Dupree had 22 points in leading Chicago to its first win over San Antonio.

Dupree, who rebounded from a six-point game on Thursday, was 7 of 12 from the field and 8 of 9 from the free-throw line.

Mercury 74, Monarchs 70: At Sacramento, Calif., Diana Taurasi had 26 points, eight assists and six rebounds as Phoenix beat Sacramento.

Taurasi made five 3-pointers, with the last one putting the Mercury ahead 72-64 with 2:08 left. The loss snapped the Monarchs’ three-game winning streak.
