RiverHawks, Spiders winners
A.J. Proszek took a shutout into the ninth inning and the Spokane RiverHawks (2-1) found several ways to score during a 4-3 win over the Kelowna Falcons (1-2) in West Coast Collegiate Baseball League play Saturday at Gonzaga University’s Patterson Complex.
Tommy Tribbett got the save after Proszek (1-0) allowed an RBI double and two-run homer in the ninth.
Max Navalinski had an RBI double and Brian Embery an RBI grounder during Spokane’s second. In the seventh, Brian Yardley drew a bases-loaded walk and Bryan Winston had a sacrifice fly.

Grant Lundberg set up both goals as the Spokane Spiders (4-4-0 Northwest Division) posted a 2-1 win over the Cascade Surge (2-6-1) in Premier Development League play and remained unbeaten (4-0) at Spokane Falls CC.
Jake Moug’s team-leading fifth goal at 56 minutes won it for the Spiders. Ryan Powers had their other goal.
