Napavine 55, La Conner 44
Napavine’s Blake Anthony wasn’t about to let this game slip through his hands. Anthony scored 14 points, including 9 of 10 from the free-throw line, and made several key defensive plays in the fourth quarter to lead the Tigers past La Conner (18-7) in consolation play.
After the Braves turned the ball over on three of their first four possessions to begin the second half, Anthony took over. The sophomore guard nailed a 3-pointer and then converted on a layin off a steal to put Napavine ahead 26-22.
Junior post Casey Carns tallied a game-high 17 rebounds on 8-of-12 shooting and sophomore Kellen Ashmore added 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Tigers (17-10).

Brad Allen, Mossyrock’s top scorer this season, relished in his role as a leader right when his team needed him. The senior guard scored six of his team’s eight points in overtime as Mossyrock edged Evergreen Lutheran in overtime in a wild consolation bracket game.
Mossyrock senior guard Jordan Palmer led all scorers with 26 points and pulled down seven rebounds for the Vikings (17-10).
Patrick Betts and Daniel Kurbis paced Evergreen Lutheran with 16 points apiece.
Nathan Feller added 10 points and six boards for the Eagles (21-5), who held a 53-44 advantage in rebounds.

Senior Mike Anderson scored a game-high 23 points and Willapa Valley rallied in the second half to beat Mt. Vernon Christian in consolation action.
The Vikings quickly erased a two-point halftime deficit by outscoring the Hurricanes 17-9 in the third quarter.
Senior Rick Bannish added 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting and senior Brady Langer pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds for Willapa Valley (16-9).
The game was decided at the free-throw line in the second half. The Vikings converted 15 of 26 second-half free throws while Mt. Vernon Christian was just 3 of 7 from the line after halftime.

Anchored by 6-foot-5 Romeo Savant under the hoop, Wahkiakum’s defense refused to budge and limited Riverside Christian (17-4) to 32 percent shooting from the field in a quarterfinal.
Savant registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and was a large presence inside. His size forced Chris Pynch and the Crusader guards to change their shot and sink difficult buckets.
Pynch led the Crusaders with 14 points on 5-of-19 shooting and Matthew Allan added eight points.
Savant was complemented by senior guard Travis Bain, who had 15 points, going 4 for 6 from the line, for the Mules (24-1).

The defending State B boys champs are hungry for more.
In a steady team effort, Joe Grewe carried the Crusaders for the first half, scoring nine points in the first quarter and four in the second for 13 first-half points in a quarterfinal with Liberty Bell. He finished with 17.
NWC ran at a break-neck pace for most of the game, forcing 13 turnovers and pouncing on loose balls. Chase Ramey scored 16 points and shot 7 for 8 from the line for the Crusaders.
Louis Donnet was the only Liberty Bell player in double figures with 10 points.
NWC took advantage of 15 fouls by Liberty Bell by shooting 13 for 19 from the line. NWC shot 42 percent from the field and had just four 3-point attempts.

The Ducks trailed by five after three quarters, but struggled offensively late in the game and Darrington made its free throws to hang on for the quarterfinal win.
Brennan Vincent tallied 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting for the Loggers and only Luke Lindquist reached double figures, scoring 10 points with two 3s for Toutle Lake.
Toutle Lake (19-6) took 15 more shots than Darrington (15-8), but shot 4 for 23 in the second half while the Loggers went 9 for 16.
