NAU, Weber State advance

Tyrone Bazy scored 20 points Tuesday as Northern Arizona defeated Montana (17-15) 78-71 in the Big Sky men’s basketball semifinals in Ogden, Utah.

The Lumberjacks (19-11) advanced to the conference championship game for the second straight year. The winner of today’s 6 p.m. title game will receive the Big Sky’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Weber St. 77, Portland St. 74: Also at Ogden, Juan Pablo Silveira sealed the semifinal victory for the top-seeded Wildcats (19-11), making two free throws with 3.8 seconds to go as Weber State beat the Vikings (19-13).
