NBA : Wallace, Morrison spark Bobcats’ OT win

Gerald Wallace had 27 points and 11 rebounds, Adam Morrison hit the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime and the Charlotte Bobcats beat Cleveland 108-100 Tuesday night in Charlotte, N.C., to snap the Cavaliers’ eight-game winning streak.

Morrison’s 3 with 2:15 left snapped a tie and Raymond Felton’s driving layup with 48 seconds left made it 101-96. Little-used Walter Herrmann, who scored a career-high 19 points, hit a 3-pointer and two free throws in the final 30 seconds to put it away for Charlotte.

LeBron James scored 30 of his 37 points after halftime, but he missed a runner in the lane with 10 seconds left in regulation and a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime.

Matt Carroll scored 20 points for Charlotte, while Morrison added 13.

Nuggets 94, Nets 90: At East Rutherford, N.J., Carmelo Anthony scored 12 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and Denver won its fifth straight with a victory over New Jersey.

Allen Iverson added 20 points and a clinching free throw in the final seconds in helping the Nuggets win for the first time in New Jersey since 2000.

Mavericks 92, Knicks 77: At New York, Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard each scored 24 points, and Dallas hit the 55-win mark for the third straight season by beating the Knicks.

Clippers 103, Bulls 89: At Chicago, Cuttino Mobley scored 25 points, Corey Maggette added 22, and Elton Brand finished with 21, leading Los Angeles to a victory over Chicago.

Suns 108, Timberwolves 90: At Phoenix, the Suns regrouped from two blowout losses to clinch their third consecutive Pacific Division title by beating Minnesota.

Raja Bell scored 16 of his 22 points in the decisive third quarter for Phoenix.

Pistons 96, 76ers 75: At Auburn Hills, Mich., Tayshaun Prince scored 30 points and Detroit handed Philadelphia another lopsided loss.

Philadelphia was playing two days after the worst home loss in franchise history, a 124-74 defeat by Houston, while the Pistons ended a three-game losing streak at home.

Hornets 114, Grizzlies 103: At Memphis, Tenn., David West scored 26 points, and Chris Paul added 23 points and nine assists to lead New Orleans over Memphis.

Jazz 104, Warriors 100: At Salt Lake City, Carlos Boozer had 25 points and tied his career high with 21 rebounds, and Utah snapped a four-game losing streak by beating Golden State.

Rockets 86, Pacers 76: At Houston, Yao Ming had 32 points and 14 rebounds and Tracy McGrady added 20 points and 10 assists to lead the Rockets over Indiana.

Trail Blazers 100, Wizards 98: At Portland, LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and eight rebounds, and the Trail Blazers snapped a four-game skid with a win over Washington.
