NEW FACES Patricia Iron has been hired as the general manager of the Fox Theater. Iron was previously executive director of the Tower Theatre Foundation in Bend, Ore., and was events director for the Portland Center for the Performing Arts for nine years. She holds a degree in theatre administration from Grand Valley State University, Michigan.

Margaret Croom has been hired as an account executive by Desautel Hege Communications. She was previously an independent consultant in Texas.

Malcolm Clark has been hired as a designer/drafter by Colmac Industries in Colville. He has more than 17 years experience and studies electronics technology at Walla Walla College.

KAYU Fox 28 has hired Kent Adams as an account executive and marketing projects specialists. He was previously president of Adams and Associates Consulting.

Jeff Oswalt has been hired as president of Motiv Interactive. He previously was director of marketing and a producer at North by Northwest. He holds a degree in public relations from Washington State University.

Fabian Medina has been hired as a lead account executive at Prime Magazine. He has previously worked with local publications, including the Senior Times, the Cheney Free Press and the Valley News Herald.

AAA Washington has hired Lisa Funkhouser and Enver Apaydin as insurance agents at its location in downtown Spokane.

PROMOTIONS Brant Osiensky has been promoted to lead research and development engineer at Colmac Industries in Colville. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Idaho.

Linn Parish has been promoted to editor in chief of Vivo Publications Group, which publishes Building Magazine and Prime Magazine. He was previously the editor of Building Magazine. He holds a degree in journalism from the University of Montana.

Bobbie Overhoff has been promoted to vice president of Sterling Savings Bank. She has been with the bank for 15 years.

Mike Harper has been promoted to sales engineer at Colmac Industries in Colville. He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Idaho.

KUDOS Orthodontist Mike Chaffee of Coeur d’Alene was recently selected to be the keynote speaker at the fourth annual Dental Symposium at the Catholic University of Korea in Seoul, South Korea, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists Northern Regional Meeting in Seattle.

Gerald Briant of Welch Comer and Associates in Coeur d’Alene was one of the first groups of land surveyors in the nation to earn the ranking of certified federal surveyor.

The visual communications firm Klundt | Hosmer recently won 12 awards at the 2007 Spokane ADDY Awards ceremony. The firm won awards in the following categories: best of division, product or service presentation, for the Moss Adams corporate sales kit; best of division, collateral/poster, for the First Night Spokane poster; gold award for the Thayer-Martin wedding invitation; gold award for the First Night Spokane poster; gold award, First Night Spokane poster illustrations.

Silver awards were won for the CVB Convention Sales and Destination Marketing binder project, the Blue File logo, the Leonardo’s Coffee logo, the Saint George’s School logo, Blue File stationery, Action Fasteners stationary and the Caffé Pazzesco web site.
