Moody fourth at Cal meet

Washington State’s Rickey Moody scored a personal-best and NCAA Provisional Qualifying total of 6,926 points in the decathlon at the Cal Multi-Meet at Edwards Stadium/Goldman Field on the Cal campus on Thursday.

Moody, a junior, finished in fourth place behind Stanford’s Josh Hustedt and California’s Steven Conrad and Mark Jellison.

Fellow Cougars Kyle Schauble and Justin Chambers finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

Swimming

The Washington State 800-meter freestyle relay team of Kayli Changstrom, Erin McCleave, Shawna Keller and Michaela Ahlin combined for a time of 8:31.02 at the U.S. Spring National Championships at East Meadow, N.Y., good enough for eighth place.

Arena football

Defensive lineman Marquess Ledbetter and linebacker Jermaine Harris have been added to the Spokane Shock roster.
