Georgetown vs. Ohio State

Time: 3:07 p.m. PDT
TV: CBS
The buzz: A marquee matchup of big men – and the other players involved aren’t too shabby, either. Indeed, while the Roy Hibbert-Greg Oden showdown has garnered all the hype, the game is more likely to be won by someone else. For Georgetown, that someone else is forward Jeff Green, the best all-around player in the Final Four. He can shoot, handle the ball, rebound, defend, pass – and it doesn’t appear Ohio State has anyone who can handle him. For Ohio State, that someone else is point guard Mike Conley Jr., a freshman who plays with the poise of a five-year NBA veteran. Conley takes good care of the ball, is a nifty passer and solid defender, and never seems to make a bad play – and it doesn’t appear Georgetown has anyone who can handle him. At the same time, the Hibbert-Oden battle should be a good one. Both have had problems with fouls during the tourney, and if either is on the bench for an extended time, the other should make some hay in the low post. Keep an eye on Georgetown guard Jonathan Wallace and his 3-point shooting. If he’s off from the outside, the Hoyas become way too frontcourt-oriented on offense.
