North Idaho’s Young Life seeks leaders

The North Idaho branch of Young Life is looking for ministry leaders to work with high school and junior high students.

A leadership recruitment event called “Experience Young Life” is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at Kootenai Coffee, 5417 Government Way, Coeur d’Alene.

Young Life is a nondenominational Christian organization that ministers to teenagers. The group is trying to expand in the area and needs adult leaders to work with local youth.

Celtic quartet will perform

The Celtic music quartet Raven will perform at 7 p.m. next Saturday at Westminster Congregational Church, 411 S. Washington St.

The Portland-based group has released several CDs, including “A Soft Wind Blows” and “Five Days in April.”

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at Cole’s Music Co., 901 W. Garland Ave., and Dutch’s, 405 W. Main Ave. Tickets also will be available at the door.

St. Stephen’s holds rummage sale

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will host its annual rummage sale today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit several area charities, including the YWCA Child Development Program, the Interfaith Hospitality Network and the Women and Children’s Free Restaurant.

The sale will be at St. Stephen’s at 57th and Perry.
