Jordan Emmil tossed a complete-game three-hitter and teamed with Emilee Lepp to hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning as the Colville Indians rolled to a 10-0 five-inning victory over the visiting Medical Lake Cardinals in District 7 2A second-round playoff action Wednesday.

Jackie Wetle added three hits and a run batted in for Colville, which advances to play Clarkston in the district title game at noon Saturday in Medical Lake for the No. 1 seed to state.

In the other second-round game, Zoe Spear went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored to lead the visiting Clarkston Bantams to a 5-2 win over the Pullman Greyhounds.

Pullman will play Medical Lake at 10 a.m. Saturday in Medical Lake in a loser-out contest.

The winner of that game will play the loser of the Colville-Clarkston game at 2 p.m. for the No. 2 seed to state.

“In the District 7 2B playoffs at Medical Lake, the Liberty Lancers and Davenport Gorillas advanced to the title game by winning twice.

Katie Brantley and Kenzie Graber combined for a five-inning no-hitter as Davenport cruised to a 15-0 victory over the visiting St. George’s Dragons. Brantley also drove in three runs with a pair of hits. The Gorillas followed with a 3-1 win over the Springdale Chargers. Kayleigh Fisk struck eight in a complete-game effort to pick up her 13th win of the season for Davenport. … Liberty opened with a 14-1 five-inning victory over Republic. Angela Bethel allowed one hit in going the distance and added two RBIs and four stolen bases. The Lancers followed with a 4-0 win over Lind-Ritzville behind a complete-game five-hitter by flu-ridden Jessica Mangis. Davenport and Liberty play for the district title and the No. 1 seed to state at 2 p.m. Friday in Kettle Falls.

In other first-round games, the Lind-Ritzville Broncos scored in the top of the ninth inning to edge the Selkirk Rangers 3-2. … Amanda Krieg went the distance and struck out 10 and Amber Barr had two hits and two RBIs to lead Springdale to a 5-4 win over the Northwest Christian Crusaders.

In second-round loser-out games, Heather Pope tossed a complete-game one-hitter while fanning 11 to lead Selkirk to a 3-0 victory over the Republic Tigers. … Abby Clayton threw a complete-game two-hitter and drove in two runs with a pair of hits to power Northwest Christian to a 15-4 win over St. George’s.

In Friday’s loser-out games in Kettle Falls, Lind-Ritzville will play Northwest Christian at 10 a.m., followed by Selkirk versus Springdale at noon.

Boys golf

East Valley, Mt. Spokane and North Central all failed to make it out of the 3A regional tournament at Appletree Golf Course in Yakima.

East Valley’s Danny Marshall was the lone area golfer to score points. Marshall closed with an 8-over-par 80 for a 159 total and tied for 13th place.

The top 11 golfers advanced to the state tournament.

East Valley placed fifth in the team race with 6.5 points.

Hanford tallied 91.5 points to easily outdistance Eastmont for the team title.

Hanford’s Alex Moore earned medalist honors with a 136 total, three strokes better than runner-up Tyler McDougall of Eastmont.

Brady Dixon led the way for NC with a 17th-place finish at 160. EV’s Jacob Brammer tallied a 163. No Mt. Spokane golfers made the first-day cut.
