All four Greater Spokane League volleyball teams won their matches at the 4A regionals at Eisenhower and Davis high schools in Yakima.

Eileen Chatfield had 14 kills and four blocks and Kasey Jurich added 10 kills and 21 digs as University defeated Eisenhower 23-25, 22-25, 25-12, 28-26, 25-12 at Davis High.

Chanel Ratkovich added 31 digs for the Titans, who won for the first time this season after losing the first two games of a match.

In the other match at Davis, Alexis Olgard had 12 kills and five blocks to guide Mead to a 25-8, 25-10, 25-16 win over Walla Walla.

Karyn Mockel added 32 assists for the Panthers, who advance to play University today at 11:30 a.m.

Shadle Park defeated Richland 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 at Eisenhower High School.

Amanda Bettinson, Stacey Kent and Lexie Pettersen each had 10 kills and Lindsay Neimeier dished out 35 assists to lead the Highlanders.

Shadle advances to the second round today at 10 a.m. where the Highlanders meet Lewis and Clark, which beat Pasco 25-17, 25-16, 25-19.

Oceana Bush had 14 kills and 25 digs and Laurie Yearout added 20 assists for the Tigers.

Boys soccer

Wyatt Orme, Brandon Johnson, Gerhard Muelhiems and Sam Annan all scored in a shootout to give St. George’s a 1-0 win over Northwest Christian in the regional 1A/B championship match at Gonzaga Prep. The Dragons (14-2), who won both regular-season matches against the Crusaders, advance to the state tournament as the top seed. NWC (9-5) is the second seed. Riverside Christian topped Moses Lake Christian 2-0 to earn the third seed.

Wrestling

Riverside senior Ryan DesRoches made an oral commitment to wrestle for Cal Poly next season, according to Riverside coach Randy Miller. DesRoches is a two-time State 2A champion at 160 pounds. He will wrestle at 171 pounds this season.
