Man arrested in East Spokane arson
Authorities have arrested a man suspected of intentionally setting a fire at an East Spokane residence.
It was a very small fire on the side of a garage, said Spokane Fire Battalion Chief Ken Kirsch. “And we recovered a gas can.”
Firefighters responded to 2524 E. Pacific about 8 p.m. Wednesday when witnesses apparently saw the man trying to set a fire.
The man, described as 30ish, was later taken into custody, authorities said. The man, who has not been identified, could face a charge of second-degree arson. Spokane Fire Department is investigating, Kirsch said.
