City being childish

The Spokesman-Review

When our children were little and wanted each other’s toys, they were taught to negotiate. If that didn’t work, they just took it.

That is exactly what this city wants to do with Glen Cloninger’s property across from the INB Performing Arts Center.

The city says it is unwilling to pay the selling price of his prime, well-located parcel of land. This has been going on for years now. Day by day the value increases.

This sad situation is reminiscent of the Florida beachfront land grab of last year.

Wow! Will Spokane leaders really sink that low to get what they want? For shame. What an embarrassment!
