Miami QB Green knocked out again
Miami Dolphins quarterback Trent Green rejoined his team after he sustained a concussion in Sunday’s game at Houston and was taken to a hospital.
Green was back in the locker room after the Dolphins’ 22-19 loss, with a bandage behind his right ear.
The 37-year-old Green was sidelined for more than half of last season for the Kansas City Chiefs after sustaining a concussion in the opener.
Cameron doubted Green would play next week when the Dolphins face Cleveland.
The Dolphins had the ball at the Texans 25 on Sunday when Green gave the ball to Ted Ginn Jr., who fumbled, then picked the ball up and reversed field as the defense chased him.
Texans defensive tackle Travis Johnson hit Green in the head with his knee before Ginn was tackled. After the play ended, Johnson stood over Green and taunted him, drawing a 15-yard penalty.
Leinart leaves with broken collarbone
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart fractured his left collarbone while getting sacked late in the first half of his team’ 34-31 victory over the host St. Louis Rams.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Leinart would be out indefinitely.
Leinart returned to the sideline after halftime, wearing a T-shirt and shorts and with his arm in a sling.
Pacman says he’s ready to return
Suspended Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones said he’s done enough to be reinstated back to the NFL early.
Jones, suspended for the season in April for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, said he’ll meet with commissioner Roger Goodell soon about reinstatement after 10 games. His case won’t be reviewed until Nov. 20.
Jones said he’s been using the time to restore his image. He also has two felony coercion charges pending against him in Las Vegas for a Feb. 19 strip club fight and triple shooting.
