Oceana Bush had 11 digs and 10 kills and Chloe Rowand added 10 kills as Lewis and Clark remained undefeated in the Greater Spokane League with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-15 win over Mt. Spokane Thursday at Mt. Spokane.
Laurie Yearout chipped in 18 assists for the Tigers.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 4-0 in the GSL while the Wildcats fell to 2-2.
Elsewhere in the league, Shannon Giusti dished out 35 assists and Emily Sarff added 25 digs and four aces as Central Valley (3-1) edged host North Central 21-25, 25-23, 25-9, 13-25, 15-13. Nicole Graybeal had a match-high 14 kills and eight blocks and Kristina Conley added 29 digs to lead the Indians (1-3). … Eileen Chatfield had 16 kills and Kasey Jurich added a match-high 32 digs as University (2-2) slid past visiting Gonzaga Prep 29-31, 25-9, 25-14, 22-25, 15-12. Kelly Zackrzewski scored in the 65th minute to break a 1-1 tie and give Cheney a 2-1 win over host Lakeside (3-4, 3-2) in Great Northern League action in Nine Mile Falls. The Blackhawks’ Danielle Raczykowski scored in the 37th minute to give Cheney a 1-0 advantage at the half. The Eagles’ Katie Baron tied the match at 1 with a goal off an assist from Jacy Fitzpatrick in the 52nd minute before Zackrzewski won it for the Blackhawks (5-2, 4-1). … In other league action, Tabitha Grow scored in the 79th minute to break a scoreless tie, giving host Riverside (4-2, 4-1) a 1-0 shutout of rival Deer Park (3-4, 2-3). Rams goalkeeper Amanda Sturm saved six shots. … Kayla Courchaine scored twice and Kaley Way added a goal and two assists as West Valley routed host Chewelah 10-0. The Eagles (5-1, 4-1), who outshot the Cougars (0-7, 0-5) 30-4, scored five goals in each half. … Cory Druffel had a hat trick to lead Pullman (6-1, 5-0) to a 6-1 win over host Medical Lake (2-4, 1-4).
