Belichick got off easy

The Spokesman-Review

How many years have the New England Patriots been cheating? How many games did they win because they cheated?

My guess is they are still cheating and perhaps finding better methods, just as some athletes are still using steroids. I bet they have been doing this for years.

The Patriots got off easier than if they had been using steroids. Which is worse, steroids or dishonesty? Both are despicable and lowlife.

Million-dollar salaries and two-bit actions – what a combination. How disgusting. What’s next, shaving points, throwing games, or using more than one wired helmet? Way to go, New England Patriots. Tarnish the game and cloud the wins with shady dealings.

Way to go, Bill Belichick – brilliant playmaking. You will never make the Hall of Fame as you just made the Hall of Shame. What an example to present nationwide for all of our children, high school and college athletic departments, their coaches and players. This whole portrait in dishonesty and stupidity is something to behold. You should retire while you have the chance.

The NFL should have doubled the penalty and suspended you for the whole season. You got off easy and I don’t know why.
