Vivian Davis

Spokane

Vivian Davis celebrates her 100th birthday today. She was born Sept. 28, 1907, in Union, Ore. She has been a resident of Spokane for 28 years.

Davis and her husband, William, were high school sweethearts. They were married in 1925. He died in 1965.

She worked side by side with her husband as a cattle rancher in North Powder, Ore.

Davis attributes living a long and healthy life to staying active and her love of music. Up until a couple of years ago, she led an exercise group at RosePointe Retirement Community, and enjoyed playing the piano for her friends and neighbors.

When asked what her most memorable moments have been, Davis says spending time with her family and friends.

She has four children: Jessie Cox, Spokane; William Davis, Nampa, Idaho; Jeannette Kellar, Colorado Springs; and Betty Myers, McMinnville, Ore.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
