Peja Stojakovic hit a 3-pointer and three free throws in the final minute to lift the New Orleans Hornets over the Orlando Magic 98-97 on Tuesday night in Orlando, Fla.

Chris Paul had 19 points and 12 assists for the Hornets, Morris Peterson scored 19 points and David West had 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Hedo Turkoglu had 26 points, seven assists and five rebounds for Orlando. Rashard Lewis added 24 points and Dwight Howard had 17 points and 15 rebounds.

76ers 108, Nets 99: At East Rutherford, N.J., Lou Williams hit three consecutive baskets in the final 3:47, Andre Miller scored 24 with 11 assists and Philadelphia earned a victory over New Jersey.

Bucks 119, Knicks 115 (OT): At Milwaukee, Michael Redd finished with 36 points and Bobby Simmons added a season-high 24 points in the Bucks’ overtime win over New York.

Andrew Bogut chipped in 24 points and 13 rebounds for Milwaukee.

Celtics 106, Bulls 92: At Chicago, Ray Allen scored 22 points and Boston defeated the Bulls.

Kevin Garnett scored 20 points and blocked four shots and Paul Pierce added 17 points for Boston.

Spurs 116, Warriors 92: At San Antonio, Tony Parker scored 26 points to lead the Spurs to a victory over Golden State.

Tim Duncan added 17 points and 12 rebounds and Manu Ginobili, the other member of the Spurs’ Big Three, scored 16 points.

Nuggets 126, Suns 120: At Denver, Carmelo Anthony grabbed two key rebounds and sank two free throws in the final 27 seconds, sending the Nuggets past Phoenix.

Denver’s Allen Iverson scored 31.

Kings 99, Rockets 98: At Sacramento, Calif., Ron Artest scored 30 points, Kevin Martin added 27 and the Kings beat Houston.

Tracy McGrady scored 32 to lead the Rockets but missed a jumper at the buzzer that would have won it.

Off the court

The New York Knicks will turn their basketball operations over to Donnie Walsh today. Walsh will replace Isiah Thomas as president. Thomas is also the Knicks’ coach. … The Dallas Mavericks upgraded the injury status of Dirk Nowitzki (left ankle) to day to day. … Chicago Bulls guard Ben Gordon is the latest NBA player to be selected to the fledgling British basketball team that’s trying to qualify for the 2012 Olympics. … Wilt Chamberlain could become Wilt the Stamp if a grassroots effort to get the Hall of Famer and the only NBA player to score 100 points in a game on a commemorative U.S postage stamp is approved by postal officials.
