Ex-Hendrix drummer’s finale airs locally

The final performance of former Jimi Hendrix drummer Mitch Mitchell will air on the locally produced “Steppin’ Out Spokane” TV show on Sunday.

Mitchell died shortly after appearing at the INB Performing Arts Center with the Jimi Hendrix Experience Tribute Tour on Nov. 5. Footage from that show will be broadcast in the first of a two-part series Sunday at 12:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on KQUP (cable channel 24 in Spokane, 16 in Coeur d’Alene).
