Parise caps Devils’ comeback in overtime
Zach Parise scored 37 seconds into overtime to cap a furious late rally and lift the New Jersey Devils to a 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night at Newark, N.J., that created a three-way tie atop the Atlantic Division.
New Jersey trailed 3-1 in the third period, but Jamie Langenbrunner and David Clarkson scored less than two minutes apart to tie it.
Parise won it with his 20th goal, tipping a drive by Patrik Elias past Ty Conklin. New Jersey, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia all have 63 points.
Coyotes 4, Avalanche 3 (OT): At Denver, Shane Doan was on his knees when he poked the puck between Peter Budaj’s pads with 1:37 left in overtime to give Phoenix a come-from-behind win over Colorado.
Oilers 5, Flames 0: Five different players scored, Mathieu Garon made 24 saves, and host Edmonton ended a two-game skid with an easy win over Calgary.
