Parker, USC tops WSU

Nadia Parker scored a career-high 23 points, Heather Oliver added 21 and Southern California defeated Washington State 64-46 for its fifth consecutive home victory, at Los Angeles.

Parker and Allison Jaskowiak grabbed nine rebounds each and Oliver had a career-high eight for USC (15-9, 8-5 Pac-10), which is 11-1 at home.

Ebonee Coates had a career-high 12 points and Heather Molzen added 10 for Cougars (3-20, 0-12).

The Trojans shot 59 percent from the floor, tops in the first half this season, when Oliver scored 14 and they led 40-25 at the break. The Trojans finished with a 36-31 edge on the boards.

USC’s defense limited the Cougars to 21 second-half points in its 16th consecutive victory over them. The Cougars were held to 33 percent shooting.
