Youth theater presents ‘Little Mermaid’
The Christian Youth Theater will present “The Little Mermaid” today, Sunday, Thursday and next Saturday at the Bing Crosby Theater, 901 W. Sprague Ave.
The play follows Ariel, a mermaid who falls in love with a prince, and the sacrifices she makes to become human.
Performance times are 7 p.m. today, Thursday and next Saturday. A 3 p.m. matinee will be today, Sunday and next Saturday. There will be school-day performances at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Celtic Concert
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington St., and Celtic Music Spokane will present Ruby Devine and Jon Lossing along with the band Crooked Kilt today at 7:30 p.m.
Accompanying Crooked Kilt will be the Irish dance troupe An Daire.

Speakers and classes
“The Gonzaga religious studies department and St. Joseph Family Center will present Sister Katherine Hanley in a workshop today from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Washington/California room of the COG on the Gonzaga campus, 502 E. Boone Ave.
The workshop will discuss decision-making by asking how God would have people look at the choices they make and the role of tradition. There also will be prayer, conversation, a case study and time for questions.

“The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., will offer an Introduction to Buddhism on Sunday at 9 a.m.

“Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., will present “The Seven Practices for Peace” on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The course is based on the book “Peace is the Way” by Deepak Chopra.

Fundraiser
The St. Nicholas Guild will present its annual fundraiser Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave.
Jeff Zobrist will talk about his travels through Mexico, Canada and along the Pacific Coast Trail, and a bicycle trip he took from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.

Movies
“Lincoln Heights Congregational Church, 3527 E. 29th Ave., will present the movie “Amazing Grace” on Sunday at 6 p.m.
The evening will begin with a potluck dinner at 5 and participants are asked to bring a hot dish, a salad or a dessert.

“Manito United Methodist Church, 3220 S. Grand Blvd., will present the movie “Lilies of the Field” today at 4 p.m. as part of its Films of Faith – Lenten Movie Series.
The 1963 film stars Sydney Poitier as an ex-soldier who builds a chapel for nuns in the California dessert.

St. Paschal hosts spaghetti dinner
St. Paschal Catholic School, 2521 N. Park Road, will host its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for seniors, or $30 per family. Take-out meals will be available.
Up for bid
The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection will hold its annual gala auction at 6 p.m. next Saturday at the church, 15319 E. Eighth Ave.
