Manu Ginobili had 30 points and a career-high 12 assists, and Tim Duncan added 25 points and 11 rebounds Saturday night in San Antonio to lead the Spurs to a 98-89 win over the New Orleans Hornets for their fifth straight win.

Chris Paul had 27 points and David West 16 for the Hornets, who have lost two in a row and are tied atop the Western Conference standings with a 37-17 record.

Down by 17 with 1:26 to play in the third, Paul and Jannero Pargo led a 19-2 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters to tie the game at 78 with 7:05 remaining.

During the run, the Spurs didn’t hit a shot from the field for 8 ½ minutes. Their only scoring during the span came from six free throws.

But the Spurs weren’t about to suffer a repeat of late January, when the Hornets routed them 102-78. In this one, the Hornets never took the lead.

Back-to-back 3s from Bruce Bowen and Ginobili gave the Spurs a 10-point lead at 94-84 with just more than two minutes to play, and the Hornets didn’t threaten after that.

New Hornets guard Mike James played almost 16 minutes and scored five points and new swingman Bonzi Wells played more than 19 minutes and scored two points.

The two were acquired in a deal Thursday before the trading deadline that sent Bobby Jackson to the Houston Rockets.

The Spurs tore away in the second quarter and were up 50-35 at halftime.

Duncan scored seven points in that last 4 1/2 minutes, including an emphatic putback dunk.

Wizards 110, Bobcats 95: At Washington, Antawn Jamison scored 22 points and DeShawn Stevenson added 20 points to lead the Wizards to a victory over Charlotte, their second win in 12 games.

The Bobcats were without Gerald Wallace, who suffered a concussion Friday. Wallace will be out at least two weeks.

Jazz 100, Hawks 94: At Salt Lake City, Carlos Boozer had 21 points and 12 rebounds to help Utah hold off Atlanta for its 14th straight home victory.

Kyle Korver scored 13 points, including six free throws in the final 20.4 seconds to help clinch the win.

Nets 102, Pacers 91: At East Rutherford, N.J., Richard Jefferson equaled his season high with 36 points and Vince Carter added 24 as the Nets beat Indiana and split the home-and-home series.

76ers 101, Heat 96 (OT): At Miami, Andre Iguodala scored 24 points and converted a key three-point play as Philadelphia scored the final 10 points in overtime and sent the Heat to their 11th straight loss.

Andre Miller scored 24 points and Willie Green added 14 for the Sixers.

Lakers 113, Clippers 95: At Los Angeles, Pau Gasol scored 23 points and Lamar Odom added 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lakers past the Clippers.

Kobe Bryant finished with 17 points and seven assists.

Bucks 115, Nuggets 109: At Milwaukee, Michael Redd scored a season-high 42 points, including five free throws in the final 1:13, and the Bucks rallied from 23 points down to beat Denver.

Mo Williams added 26 points, including 20 in the second half, for Milwaukee.
