The .TXT section has to follow suit and produce a technology forecast for the coming year. Here it is – and don’t hold us to these highly uneducated predictions until the end of the calendar year.

“Apple will release a new version of the iPhone that includes a GPS locator. (You can do that already through some third-party applications. This is a safe bet.)

Microsoft will buy Netflix.

“A large number of Web startups will call themselves anti-social networks. People tired of Facebook will flock there.

“Bill Gates not only steps down from the Microsoft CEO job, he takes up acting. First role: plays PC in the Mac-vs.-Apple movie. Will Ferrell plays Steve Jobs.
