University built a mountain that proved too steep for Lewis and Clark to scale and the Titans posted a 51-44 Greater Spokane League boys victory over the visiting Tigers on Monday.
U-Hi (5-5) opened a 22-point lead early in the third quarter before the Tigers (2-5) rallied to get within 48-42 with about two minutes to play.
Trevor Wakem, who hit four 3-pointers, scored 17 points, and Ali Alshahrani, with two 3-pointers, had 13 points to lead U-Hi. Levi Taylor scored 12 points for LC.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline needed Sarah Gloyn’s two free throws with seven seconds left in regulation to get to overtime, then pulled out a 50-45 Bi-County League win over visiting Wilbur-Creston in an extra period. Gloyn was fouled attempting a 3-pointer and missed the first free throw. She finished with 18 points. Cassandra Herdrick led WC with 13.
