SEATTLE – Jon Brockman scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds Saturday as he collected his 12th double-double of the season in Washington’s 83-74 victory over Oregon State.

Brockman’s double-double total leads the Pacific-10 Conference.

Matt Bryan-Amaning and Quincy Pondexter added 12 points apiece for the Huskies (11-7, 2-3 Pac-10), who won their second straight after an 0-3 start in conference play.

Calvin Hampton led Oregon State (6-12, 0-6) with 16. Marcel Jones and Omari Johnson added 12 points apiece.

The Beavers have lost eight in a row, their last win coming Dec. 19 in a non-conference game against Northern Colorado.

Brockman factored into every point of a 9-2 run that took Washington from 65-64 down with 3:11 left to 73-67 up with 1:16 to play. He hit Pondexter for a layup and a 66-65 lead at the 2:55 mark. Brockman laid one in with 2:12 left for a 68-65 edge.

After Oregon State’s Rickey Claitt banked one in to make it 68-67, Brockman converted a three-point play at the 1:47 mark for a 71-67 Washington lead. Brockman then stole the ball in backcourt and fed Venoy Overton for a driving layup, pushing the Huskies’ lead to 73-67 with 1:16 to go.

The Beavers never got closer than four the rest of the way.

Washington hit 48 percent from the field (31 of 64).
