Monday’s results

Tigers 19, Royals 4: At Kansas City, Mo., Miguel Cabrera matched his career high with five hits and six RBIs and Matt Joyce added four hits and five RBIs as Detroit beat the Royals. Joyce hit a three-run home run in the third and had two singles in the Tigers’ 10-run eighth inning.

Indians 5, Angels 2: At Anaheim, Calif., Andy Marte, Casey Blake and Jhonny Peralta hit home runs and Cleveland beat Los Angeles. Paul Byrd allowed a run and nine hits over 5 1/3 innings for his first victory since June 6.

Orioles 8, Blue Jays 3: At Baltimore, Adam Jones homered in the third inning, then got a key infield single in a three-run fifth that carried the Orioles past Toronto. Ramon Hernandez homered for Baltimore.

Rays 4, Athletics 0: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Scott Kazmir and two relievers combined on a two-hitter and Tampa Bay beat Oakland. Rays rookie Evan Longoria homered for the third consecutive game and drove in two runs.

Yankees 12, Twins 4: At New York, Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run homer and an RBI single to help the Yankees beat Minnesota for their eighth straight home win. Robinson Cano and Derek Jeter also went deep for the Yankees.

Rangers 6, White Sox 1: At Chicago, Josh Hamilton hit a three-run home run and Hank Blalock added a two-run shot to help Texas beat the White Sox. Scott Feldman gave up one run on four hits in six innings for the Rangers. He walked three and struck out one.
