Twins 6, Yankees 5: At Minneapolis, Delmon Young had three doubles and three RBIs and Joe Mauer hit his first homer of the season to lead Minnesota to victory over New York.
Indians 13, Rangers 9: At Arlington, Texas, Casey Blake homered twice with seven RBIs and Ben Francisco hit a tiebreaking two-run homer to power Cleveland past Texas.
Athletics 3, Tigers 2: At Oakland, Calif., Bobby Crosby’s RBI single in the ninth inning lifted the Athletics over Detroit. Kurt Suzuki led off the ninth with a sharp single off Francisco Cruceta (0-3) and went to second on Jack Hannahan’s sacrifice. He scored easily as Crosby’s hit traveled to the wall in right-center field.
