Tigers 7, Rockies 1: At Detroit, Eddie Bonine limited Colorado to five hits over eight innings to lift the Tigers to a win over the Rockies. Curtis Granderson was 4 for 5 with two triples for Detroit.

Rangers 8, Phillies 7: At Arlington, Texas, Milton Bradley hit the tiebreaking home run, Chris Davis homered in his first major league start and the Rangers beat Philadelphia.

White Sox 10, Cubs 3: At Chicago, Nick Swisher hit a grand slam to cap a seven-run third inning and the White Sox finally beat the Cubs. The Cubs had won six straight in the series.

Braves 4, Blue Jays 0: At Toronto, Mark Teixeira hit a two-run homer, Jair Jurrjens pitched a career-high eight innings and Atlanta beat the Blue Jays.

Twins 7, Brewers 6: At Minneapolis, Joe Mauer hit a go-ahead solo homer in the eighth inning to lift the Twins over Milwaukee for their 10th straight win, all against N.L. teams.

Mets 15-0, Yankees 6-9: At New York, Carlos Delgado set a Mets record with nine RBIs and Luis Castillo scored a career-best five runs in a rout over the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Sidney Ponson pitched a gem in the second game at Shea, silencing Delgado and the rest of the Mets to give the Yankees a split.

Rays 10, Pirates 5: At Pittsburgh, Evan Longoria and Eric Hinske hit three-run homers off the Pirates’ Jimmy Barthmaier in his major league debut and streaking Tampa Bay quickly opened a seven-run lead in beating the Pirates.

Red Sox 6, Astros 1: At Houston, Daisuke Matsuzaka limited the Astros to two hits in five scoreless innings and Boston won its first regular-season game in Houston.

Nationals 4, Orioles 2: At Washington, pinch-hitter Kory Casto doubled in the tiebreaking run in the seventh inning and scored on a single by Elijah Dukes to carry the Nationals past Baltimore.

Royals 7, Cardinals 2: At Kansas City, Mo., Alex Gordon drove in four runs with a homer and a bases-loaded double and the Royals beat St. Louis. It was Kansas City’s 11th win in 12 games.

Indians 6, Reds 0: At Cleveland, C.C. Sabathia pitched eight strong innings, striking out 11 (including his hero Ken Griffey Jr. three times) to help the Indians beat Cincinnati. Grady Sizemore hit his 18th homer for Cleveland.

Athletics 4, Giants 1: At Oakland, Calif., Dana Eveland pitched his second-longest outing of the year to win his second straight decision, Jack Hannahan drove in two runs and the Athletics extended their winning streak against San Francisco to seven games.

Dodgers 6, Angels 0: At Los Angeles, Chan Ho Park shut out the Angels over his six innings, Andre Ethier hit a three-run homer and the Dodgers got the victory over the Angels.
