Bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman‘s reality TV show will return to the air this summer, months after it was pulled when he used a racial slur in a profanity-laced tirade.

Filming has begun on the fifth season of “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” according to executives with the A&E cable network.

Reruns of the show will start June 25, with new episodes, including ones from the fourth season that have not previously aired, coming a few weeks later.

The series features Chapman and crew chasing down bail jumpers in Hawaii and other states.

It was pulled from the air in November when Chapman was heard in a taped phone conversation using a racial slur in reference to his son’s girlfriend, who is black.

Chapman says he has received counseling and reached out to blacks, speaking at a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event and participating in a toy drive.

“There was one perfect person, and they called him Jesus Christ,” he said.

“You have to … realize that everyone is human, and you can err.”

Madonna with child, maybe

Madonna won’t know until next week whether an African boy she found in an orphanage in 2006 will become a permanent family member, her lawyer said Thursday.

A judge in Malawi had been expected to rule on the adoption Thursday, but the hearing was delayed after a human rights group raised questions about the nation’s adoption laws.

The pop star and her husband, director Guy Ritchie, have been caring for the 2-year-old boy, David Banda, in London.

One big Jolie family

Angelina Jolie, who’s confirmed she’s expecting twins by Brad Pitt, says she might give birth in France, where she’s promoting her new movie at the Cannes Film Festival.

“I actually haven’t completely decided, but we are certainly thinking of France,” Jolie said Thursday. “It’s a second language in our house.

“I’m still learning so I’m not going to attempt it here today, my rusty French. But our children are starting to speak French, so being here is very good for them for their language.”

Picture of exploitation

Two photo agencies have agreed to pay $113,000 to Hugh Grant, his ex-girlfriend Liz Hurley and her husband for taking photos of them while vacationing in the Maldives.

Grant, Hurley and husband Arun Nayar say it was “reprehensible” that pictures were taken of Hurley’s son playing naked on the beach. They plan to donate the money to a cancer charity.

Thou shalt not underbid

A pair of faux granite tablets that the late Charlton Heston cradled as Mises in “The Ten Commandments” is expected to fetch as much as $60,000 at auction this summer.

The five-piece costume Heston wore in “Ben-Hur” also is among the 1,000-plus pieces of Hollywood memorabilia going on the block.
