Church leaders plan discussion

From staff reports

Local church leaders will meet Thursday for a public discussion of how communities of faith can work together.

“Bread Broken and Shared,” a panel discussion and worship service to be held at St. John’s Cathedral, will feature Bishop William Skylstad, Catholic Diocese of Spokane; Bishop Jim Waggoner, Episcopal Diocese of Spokane; Bishop Walton Mize, Christ Holy Sanctified Church, Bishop Martin Wells, Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and Alice Woldt, interim director of the Washington Association of Churches.

The discussion is part of the Faith in Action Dialogue series sponsored by The Fig Tree, a newspaper that reports on faith issues in the Inland Northwest.

The event also kicks off the 25th anniversary celebration for the paper, which is published 10 times a year.
