Classes and workshops

American and Cultural Folk Dance Instruction – Offered by Silver Spurs Folk Dancers, for children ages 9-18. Classes are Tuesdays, 6:30-8 p.m. for grades 3-6; Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. for grades 7-12, at the Woman’s Club of Spokane, 1428 W. Watercolor Greeting Card Class – For participants 14 years and older, Nov. 1, 10 a.m.-noon, at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, Uniontown, Wash. Each student will make four mini watercolor paintings for greeting cards. Cost: $20, includes materials. Students may bring a blow dryer if they have one, and their own greeting stamps. Japan Week 2009 Flyer – The Japanese Cultural Center at Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute is accepting designs for this year’s flyer. Designs can be any Japanese theme and must be two colors only: black and another color of the artist’s choice. Artwork must be submitted by Nov. 28 to The Japanese Cultural Center, Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute, 4000 W. Randolph Road, Spokane, WA 99224. Winning artist will receive $100.
