Befuddled no huddle

The Spokesman-Review

I went to Pullman last weekend and saw one of the worst football games I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen better Pop Warner games.

The new “No Huddle/Spread” looked like the “befuddled dead.”

What happened during spring and fall practice, and the week of practice preceding this game? What I saw was a bunch of guys standing around killing grass, lining up wrong, running wrong routes, dropped passes, missed assignments, blown coverage, poor blocking and tackling. At least we didn’t see them run the draw play from the end zone.

I did see one positive – the water boy knew what his job was.

Quote Paul Wulff: “We must be patient, but we will be competitive.”

I wonder if he was referring to the GSL.

One consolation – we can only go up.
