RiverHawks fall to Kelowna

Kelowna scored early and often against Spokane pitching, and the Falcons made it stand up for an 8-3 victory Sunday over the RiverHawks at the Patterson Baseball Complex.

The Falcons (21-21) benefited from three Spokane errors – two of them during Kelowna’s four-run third inning – and had four batters hit by pitches.

Cody Hawk (1-2) lasted 2 2/3 innings for the RiverHawks (18-26), allowing six runs – two earned – on three hits. He struck out one, walked one and hit four batters with pitches.

Ryan Richardson relieved Hawk and allowed two runs on three hits over 1 1/3 innings. Maverick Olivares and Paul Seward combined for five innings of scoreless relief for Spokane.

Cody Reeves went 2 for 4 and drove in all three RiverHawks runs. He had an RBI single in the first inning and a two-run home run in the third.

Jason Brunansky went 3 for 4 for Spokane.
