Colbert’s Bezdicek loses in championship

Medalist Seo Hee Moon, 17, of Mukilteo, Wash., defeated 14-year-old Sierra Bezdicek of Colbert 5 and 4 in the championship match of the Pacific Northwest Girls Amateur Championship played Thursday morning at Fairwood Golf and Country Club in Renton, Wash.

Moon, runner-up twice before in this tournament, led the entire way in capturing the title, losing only one hole.

Bezdicek’s sister, Savana, won the fourth flight.

Washington State senior Kenny Alfred has been named to the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s top center. He is making a repeat appearance on the list.
