Roundup: Vandals no match for Rams

Rachele Kloke’s 16 points and seven rebounds were not enough for the Idaho women’s basketball team (1-6), which fell to Colorado State 65-55 in non-conference women’s basketball Tuesday in Moscow.

The Rams (5-2) led by as many as 18 in the contest, taking a 15-point lead into the half.

Bonnie Barbee scored 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range to pace Colorado State.

The Rams’ Meghan Heimstra tallied 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Volleyball

Anile Clemente tallied 17 kills and Lewis-Clark State (24-8) pushed the top seed in their four-team pool play bracket, Azusa Pacific (25-8), to four games, but fell short 23-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-17 at the NAIA national tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.

LCSC took the first game behind Clemente and Demi Dlouhy, but the Cougars regained control in the second set.

The Warriors will play College of Idaho, which beat Doane in four games, as pool play continues today.

Hockey

Spokane Chiefs goalie James Reid was selected Western Hockey League player of the month for November after posting a 10-0-1 record.

Reid recorded a 1.09 goals-against average, allowing just 12 goals on 335 shots.
