Vandals in BracketBuster field

The Idaho men’s basketball team has drawn former Big West Conference foe Cal State Northridge in the seventh annual ESPNU BracketBusters field on Feb. 21.

The Vandals and Matadors will face off at the Cowan Spectrum at 7:05 p.m. Idaho will visit Northridge next season.

The Matadors are 9-10 and 6-3 in the Big West. They are led in scoring by Deon Tresvant at 13.3 points per game and have four other players averaging in double figures. The two teams have not met since the 2004-05 season and Northridge holds a 5-3 series edge.

The Spokane Shock will play host to the Arkansas Twisters in a preseason game March 18 at the Spokane Arena.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through TicketsWest.

The Twisters are led by former Shock coach Chris Siegfried and quarterback Kyle Rowley, who were instrumental in bringing the ArenaCup title to Spokane in 2006.
