Druffel leads unbeaten Colton to state berth

Courtney Druffel had 27 points and Kelsey Moser had 19 and the Colton Wildcats (20-0) clinched a berth to the State 1B tournament with a 70-56 victory over the St. John-Endicott Eagles in District 9 play at Endicott.

The Eagles (15-4) play Rosalia for the final state berth today.

Rosalia 38, LaCrosse-Washtucna 29: Meaghan Reddish and Sam Wilson scored seven points each and the Spartans (11-13) eliminated the Tigercats (8-11).

Great Northern League

Clarkston 51, Cheney 36: At Cheney, Kellie McCann-Smith scored 14 points, 11 in the first half, to help the Bantams (15-4, 12-1) beat the Blackhawks (7-12, 6-7).

Jenna Hatch scored 11 for Cheney.

Colville 39, Deer Park 31: At Deer Park, Jordan Brons scored 13 points and the Indians (9-10, 6-7) hit 9 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to beat the Stags (3-16, 2-11).

Medical Lake 56, Riverside 40: At Riverside, Gabrielle Daily had 13 points in the Cardinals’ (6-10, 4-8) victory over the Rams (1-17, 1-12).

Pullman 60, West Valley 49 (OT): At West Valley, the Greyhounds (16-2, 12-0) outscored the Eagles (14-5, 8-5) 11-0 in the extra session to claim the victory.

Shelby Cheslek scored 21 points to pace Pullman.

Hannah Love had 19 points and 11 rebounds for West Valley.

District 7 2B playoffs

Colfax 38, Davenport 18: At Mt. Spokane, the Bulldogs (22-2) outscored the Gorillas (14-10) 28-7 in the final three quarters to earn a state tournament berth.

Kayla Johnson scored 15 points for Colfax, which will face Lind-Ritzville next Saturday for top seeding.

Lind-Ritzville 41, Liberty 39: Emmy Bouwman and Kelsey Arlt split 22 points and the Broncos (18-8) clinched a state berth with a win over the Lancers (16-9).

Springdale 62, Selkirk 41: Karinne Smith hit six 3-pointers on her way to 25 points and the Chargers (20-3) kept their state hopes alive with a win over the Rangers (12-11).

Springdale faces Liberty Wednesday at Mead in a winner-to-state game.

St. George’s 53, Reardan 49: Lena Leverett-Standal scored 27 points and the Dragons (15-8) ended the Indians’ (11-13) season.

St. George’s plays Davenport on Wednesday at Mt. Spokane in a winner-to-state game.

District 6 1A playoffs

Tonasket 54, Lake Roosevelt 45: The Tigers (17-3) beat the Raiders (11-8) at Omak. Lake Roosevelt will play Cascade today for 3-4 seeding to regionals.
