T-O upends top-ranked SJE

Shelby Puckett poured in 22 points, missing only one shot in the second half, to lift 2B Tekoa-Oakesdale to a 54-47 victory over St. John-Endicott, the top-ranked 1B team, on the road.

Puckett hit 7 of 13 shots from the field and 8 of 10 free throws, including all six in the fourth quarter.

The game was tied after three quarters, but once the Nighthawks (4-3, 3-2) grabbed the lead the Eagles (8-1, 4-1) were forced to foul.

Desiree Chappel added 12 points and Jordyn Brown 11 for T-O. Alli Winters had 18 for the Eagles.

Garfield-Palouse 42, LaCrosse-Washtucna 27: Tianna Woltering had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Elisha Lopez had 17 points to lead the Vikings (9-2, 3-2), No. 2 in 2B, past the visiting Tigercats (1-6, 0-3).

Colton 86, Asotin 42: The top-ranked 1B Wildcats (9-0, 4-0) clamped down on defense in the second half to roll to the easy road win over the Panthers (4-5, 1-2). Kelsey Moser had 25 points and Mollie Kramer 18 for the winners, who also got 13 points and nine assists from Courtney Druffel.

Pomeroy 58, Rosalia 34: Taelor Braun had 17 points Karlie Martin 12 points as the Pirates (7-4, 2-3) beat the Spartans (5-9, 1-5) in Rosalia.

Great Northern

West Valley 61, Medical Lake 50: Hannah Love had 19 points and Nicole Lawless 18 as the seventh-ranked Eagles (8-1, 2-1) turned back the visiting Cardinals (3-5, 1-3). Gabrielle Dailey topped the Cards with 13.

Pullman 48, Cheney 32: Shelby Cheslek scored 13 points and combined with her sister Ashley for 12 points in the third quarter as the 10th-ranked Greyhounds (8-2, 4-0) beat the Blackhawks (2-7, 1-2) in Cheney.

Clarkston 57, Deer Park 41: Kellie McCann Smith scored 22 points, 15 in the first half, as the Bantams (6-3, 4-0) defeated the Stags (1-8, 0-3) in Deer Park. Melissa Brown had 13 for the Stags, who got within seven in the second quarter.

Colville 37, Riverside 31: The Indians (5-4, 2-1) held the Rams (0-9, 0-4) to three points in the second quarter to pick up the road win.

Northeast A

Lakeside 69, Newport 46: The Eagles (8-6, 2-1) put four players in double figures, led by Leslie Stillar and Kendra Lahue, who combined for 37 points, 15 in the telling second quarter against the visiting Grizzlies (10-5, 1-2) at Nine Mile Falls.

Kettle Falls 62, Chewelah 36: Chelsea Brisbois had 20 points and nine rebounds and Nikka Yankus had seven points, six rebounds and six blocks as the Bulldogs (7-6, 1-1) rolled past the Cougars (2-12, 0-3) with a dominating first half.

Panorama

Cusick 58, Republic 29: The visiting Panthers (8-3, 6-3) jumped out to a 15-point lead after one quarter to defeat the Tigers (2-10, 1-6). Three players scored in double figures, led by Holly Edwards with a dozen.

Springdale 57, St. Michael’s 24: Jerika Cummings, Kelsey Fitzgerald and Shelbea Rainbolt each scored 14 as the No. 8 Chargers (1-1, 4-1) defeated the Warriors (3-6, 2-5). Rainbolt had five assists and six steals and Fitzgerald had 12 rebounds, nine on the offensive end.

St. George’s 47, Inchelium 32: Lena Leverett-Standal had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Alicia Burns had eight of her 13 points in the first half as the Dragons (5-4, 4-0) jumped on the visiting Hornets (5-5, 3-4) early. Serena Condon led Inchelium with 17 points.

Curlew 63, Northport 35: Danni Marcin and Chanel Somday combined for 34 points as the Cougars (6-7, 4-6) rolled after doubling up the homestanding Mustangs (0-10, 0-7) in the first half. Shyanne Wilson had 16 for Northport.

Selkirk 56, Wellpinit 38: At Wellpinit, the Rangers (7-4, 4-0) hit six 3-pointers in the first half and five players combined for nine to defeat the Redskins (2-7, 1-5). Maria Villegas had 14 points to lead the way. Lauren Flett had 13 for the Redskins.

Bi-County 2B

Lind-Ritzville 51, Northwest Christian 31: At Ritzville, the Broncos (6-4, 3-2) outscored the 10th-ranked Crusaders (6-5, 2-3) 12-2 in the third quarter. Heather Whitmore had 18 points and Kelsey Arlt 16 and both had eight rebounds.

Liberty 49, Valley Christian 36: Kelley Hennessey scored 17 points and Heather Kjack added 14 as the visiting Lancers (7-3, 2-2) defeated the Panthers (1-8, 0-4). Katie Worley had 12 points, eight rebounds and seven steals in a losing effort.

Reardan 57, Colfax 39: The Indians (7-4, 3-2) used a balanced offense, a defense that held the league-leading Bulldogs (8-2, 4-1) to 39 percent shooting and overcame 37 turnovers for the win.

Bi-County 1B

The Almira/Coulee-Hartline at Wilbur-Creston game was postponed because of a power outage. No makeup has been set.

Intermountain

Kellogg 52, Orofino 23: Chelsea Morgan scored 16 points as the Wildcats (3-9, 1-4) defeated the visiting Maniacs (0-10, 0-5), taking control with a 19-4 second quarter.

North Star

Lakeside 47, Wallace 22: Rian Miller had 16 points and 11 rebounds to help the Knights (8-1, 5-0), who had a 46-18 rebounding advantage, defeat the visiting Miners (4-7, 3-2) at Plummer. Ruth Brunnelle had 11 points and four seals and Saundra Cukrley had five assists.

Non-league

Davenport 55, Odessa 27: The Gorillas (5-4) raced to an early lead and never let up to defeat the Tigers (2-7) at Odessa. Mariah Mielke led three players in double figures with 15.

Freeman 61, Lakeland 41: The third-ranked Scotties (12-0) forced 26 turnovers, with Korina Baker snagging seven steals to go with 12 points and six assists, to defeat the visiting Hawks (10-4). McKenzie Taylor had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
